The church under construction in Mălainiţa celebrated the day of its patron saint

Today (following the Julian calendar) the new church in Mălainiţa celebrated the day of its patron, Saint Nicetas of Remesiana. Holy liturgy was served in the church of the Holy Archangels by father Boian Aleksandrovici, pastor of Mălainiţa and protopresbyter of Dacia Ripensis. Following holy liturgy, the faithful together with their priest went to the foundation of the church of Saint Nicetas where water was sanctified and the holiday bread was cut.

Sanctification of the water and cutting of the holiday bread was also performed at a wayside cross (”zăpisc”) in Gigioni.
